A DAY WITH BANKSY AND ROSA PARKS

Terminales LLCE,
Jacques Amyot, 2022-23

The Terminales LLCE students spent last Thursday in Paris, first in contemporary British street artist Banksy’s footsteps, then back in time with a play inspired from the life of Rosa Parks. As you know, she was the civil rights activist whose refusal to give up her seat on a public bus precipitated the 1955-56 Montgomery bus boycott in Alabama. This became the spark that ignited the Civil Rights Movement in the United States.

Inspired by these iconic figures from the past and the present, the students have created personal responses to their time in the capital. We hope you enjoy them!
